Sometimes I think "wow" it's already three years, but mostly I think, "wow" has it really only been three years...so much has happened/changed since May 28, 2004 that it seems more like ten (in a good way). For one, this little guy joined the family in September 2005. And you've all seen the renovation photos...
But it is our third year since that gorgeous May day...some pics to prove it....
Lauren, my matron of honor and rock through all the craziness in preparing the day...and Scott, our best man and self-designated photographer...we would not have all these great pics if not for him!
Photos were the last thing on my mind, especially as the wine glasses were never left empty that night at the Laurel (which was divine in atmosphere, staff, and food/drink), the staff skillfully scooted around all of us (drunks) pouring wine, filling misc. drink orders and serving delicious food. Unfortunately the Laurel changed management and will not be our annual anniversary reservation. We celebrated this year at Jayne's Gastropub on 30th & Adams...it was absolutely superb in terms of food and atmosphere...highly recommend giving it a try!
If you you know him at all or have read Shawn's blog, you will totally understand why he would choose this poem for his two cents on our wedding day.

Thomas Moore
“Come, come,” said Tom’s father, “at your time of life,
There’s no longer excuse for thus playing the rake-
It is time you should think, boy, of taking a wife.
“Why, so it is, father – whose wife shall I take?”

While Shawn added the satire to the evening, I look back at pictures and remember even though this was a very small event, there were so many details involved...my favorite (self-mandated) task was to insure each flower had special meaning, whether in my bouquet or as part of the centerpiece at every table and came up with this combo:
Stock Flowers Pink: Bonds of Affection, You’ll Always be Beautiful to Me Ivy: Wedded Love, Friendship & Affection Rose Pink & Red: Happy Love
I have also put a bunch of pics on Flickr for those who want to trip down memory lane. It really was fun!

Anyway, Happy Number Three...it was busy, but always meaningful!
Here's to Number Four...xoXXoxxX!
