Moving away from diapers (in about six months- fingers crossed).
Here is the baby-sized urinal I got for Ry to teach him to "wet" his way out of diapers and into the potty...(Lauren laughed when she discovered this in our bathroom and requested this go on blogdom).
Of course he is more interested in splashing in the water that comes down when he pushes that blue button on top, but here he is pretending to use it the right way:
I found this on Amazon.com and thought it was perfect for this little man who would definitely find it harder to learn to sit as opposed to being able to stand at the potty to take care of his business (much faster). For those moms/dads interested you can find it at www.peterpotty.com.

That's so cute!...until the thought of him splashing in a real one enters my brain. :S
I had the same thought...i'm hoping he gets over the splashing part before he decides to use it for real :)
I never thought that kind of potty exists... very cute thoug
I love that - Pablo was so excited when he could finally pee standing up - he would have loved that.
It also helps that boys can learn by "watering the flowers" outside.
"watering the flowers" hahaha!
Matt & Annie's sister-in-law mentioned how squirrels and deer left their tulips alone thanks to Craig (Matt's brother) "watering" them daily!
My son stopped wearing diapers (during the day, at least) when he learned that he had to use the potty if he wanted to go to school. Maybe that'll be some incentive for Ry, too!
